What Is the Downtown Oakland Specific Plan? (English)
The Downtown Oakland Specific Plan (DOSP) is a twenty-year plan designed to ensure continued growth and revitalization benefits both for downtown residents and the community at large. It was created over several years with community review of multiple drafts, and will be brought to the Oakland City Council for adoption later in 2022. This video explores what a specific plan does and what the City of Oakland is trying to accomplish with the Plan in terms of land use, transportation, economic development, housing, public spaces, cultural belonging, and social equity.
